I haven't found any consistent way of replicating this, but if you give it a lot of attempts you will eventually do it.

I was able to replicate a similar result consistently in 20w20b by teleporting myself to (0, 4, 0.7) in a void world, placing a two block high tower directly next to me in the positive Z direction, and then removing the bottom block.

How is this a duplicate?
It's in Creative mode, while flying, and doesn't use soul speed.
It's basically the opposite conditions of MC-177970
Also, if you fly up while under a block sometimes your head will glitch into the block without you going into crawl mode.
Possibly an issue with fly movement, idk.

I found this to be extremely noticeable in the gnarled, claustrophic quarters of the bastion remnants
I experienced this also usually when breaking a small tree.
Mojang priority should be "Very Important" imo
I keep getting this, super annoying!
Definitely happens while walking into small trees with 1 block from ground leaves. Tried to replicate it and it happens mostly when running into the block at certain angles. For me this started in 20w15a and persists in 20w17a.

Same. Happened to me two times, couldn't get it to occur when I wanted it to.
Same here, but it never bothers me that much though.
This feels like some sort of floating point precision error more than anything, though I don't know why such a thing would suddenly start happening when it hasn't previously. Perhaps the underlying movement handling code has changed and introduced an accidental rounding step too early in the process.
I actually noticed this occurring during the first Snapshots of 1.16. Version 20w06a. But yeah, it's a bit of an annoyance.
I can confirm that this has happened to me and my brother many times in this snapshot. (20w17a) He figured out a way to make it into a door for his base, because he was able to do it so consistently, and he is 7.
Getting stuck like this under gravel isn't nice...
