Striders swim upwards to the top of flowing lava and get stuck
When striders come into contact with lava flowing directly downward they will continuously swim upwards and eventually get stuck.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a source of lava flowing downward
- Spawn a strider inside of it
Observed Results:
The strider will keep swimming upwards until it gets stuck
Expected Results:
The strider would either avoid entering the flowing lava, or at least not continuously go upwards

Notes:
This is primarily noticable in lava lakes where often times they will simply rise to the top of the nether roof and not move.
Created Issue:
Striders shivering and unable to pathfind in flowing lava
Striders can climb lava columns when ridden or by themselves. I don't know if this is intended, but when they do climb the column they turn gray and start shivering. They also seem unable to path out of the column, so they just hang there looking all gray and sad.
What I expected to happen was...:
Striders should not turn gray and shiver in flowing lava, such as in a lava column. They should also be able to walk out of the column and fall back into the lava. What actually happened was...:
The striders turn gray and shiver. They also seem to be stuck in the lava column.Steps to Reproduce:
1. Either spawn a strider in a lava column, ride one up the column, or fly up the column holding the fungi.Environment

Is this still an issue in 20w20b?
Yes, confirmed for 20w20b
Can confirm in 20w48a.
Can partially reproduce in 1.17.1. They are unable to pathfind back to the lava lake, but they are not shivering anymore.
I'd like to request ownership of this issue as the original poster is inactive since 2020, and the issue contains outdated information (The shivering part is fixed now, pathfinding is not)
