Holding Right-Click on an untamed horse causes an obnoxiously loud sound
Created Issue:
Holding Right-Click on an untame horse causes an obnoxiously loud sound
If you spawn in a horse with a spawn egg, and holding right-click on it with, for example, spider eyes, it makes an obnoxious sound. It should only make the sound one time.
I was able to confirm this in a later version.

When right-clicking on untamed horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, or trader llamas while holding an item, they will neigh or bleat. However, the fix for MC-100258 introduced a 1-second cooldown for this feature specifically for horses, donkeys, and mules. Unfortunately, this cooldown was not applied to llamas and trader llamas, allowing players to spam the sound or cause an excessively loud noise by repeatedly right-clicking on them.
steps to reproduce
- Summon an untamed llama or trader llama
- Repeatedly right-click on it while holding an item
- Summon an untamed horse, donkey, or mule
- Repeatedly right-click on it while holding an item
Observation: There is no cooldown for llamas and trader llamas, whereas horses, donkeys, and mules have a 1-second cooldown.
Expectation: Llamas and trader llamas should also have a 1-second cooldown, consistent with horses, donkeys, and mules.
Note: Zombie horses and skeleton horses do not produce neighing or bleating sounds. Similarly, camels, which do not require taming, also cannot neigh or bleat.
Following the resolution of MC-100258, untamed horses, donkeys, and mules now have a cooldown period when making them neigh by right-clicking while holding an item. Right-clicking them not only triggers sound effects but also causes them to rear. However, when attempting to do so while they are on cooldown, this action does not occur. Nevertheless, the hand animation associated with right-clicking still plays, despite no action taking place.
Steps to reproduce
- Summon an untamed horse, donkey, or mule
- Continuously right-click it while holding an item
Observation: Even when on cooldown, it continues to play a hand animation.
Expectation: Right-clicking while on cooldown should not trigger a hand animation.
Relates to MC-100258. (Same problem.)
Probably Works As Intended.
I don't think so... if your computer is laggy, which my old one was, it causes this to happen if you tap the right click button.
Well, I tested it and can confirm.
Let 's let Mojang decide if they consider this bug worth fixing.
Can confirm for 1.11. I think the bug is the overlapping sounds.
Is this still a issue in the latest version of the game(currently 1.13.1)?
If so, please add it to the affected versions, thanks!
Affects 19w14b
Can reproduce in 20w07a, can I request ownership?
This is fixed in 1.16pre1
Relates to MC-270239 and
MC-270240.Also relates to MCPE-178500 (Same Problem.).
