End gateways and portals cause huge amounts of lag
The bug
End gateways and portals appear to have major effects on framerate when there is a large group of them, unlike any other block I'm aware of, and it's not just from the dual beam animation.
How to reproduce
- Run
/fill ~4 ~10 ~4 ~-4 ~2 ~-4 minecraft:end_gateway
→
Causes a very significant frame drop. - Now, try to run
/fill ~4 ~100 ~4 ~-4 ~2 ~-4 minecraft:end_gateway
→
It causes complete unplayability.

Created Issue:
End Gateways cause huge amounts of lag in excess.
Try in an empty flatworld:
/fill ~4 ~100 ~4 ~-4 ~2 ~-4 end_gateway
This causes extreme amounts of lag.
end_gateways appear to have major effects on framerate when there is a large group of them, unlike any other block I'm aware of, and it's not just from the dual beam animation.
It would be much appreciated if this issue could be resolved somehow, as these gateways are extremely useful for chunkloading and I used a large amount of them in my huge WIP adventure map, which has now began to become unplayable as I continue to add them when needed.
Environment
Very high-spec PC. Windows 10, latest Java
This issue only causes frame lag ingame, it does not affect the rest of my computer or use large amounts of ram/processing power.
