Paintings and items frames are entities, not blocks.
You need to not be able to break item frames and paintings in creative mode with a sword since the functionality of not being able to break blocks in creative mode carries over to not being able to break item frames and paintings.

Why would you have to break paintings or item frames with swords in creative mode? When you would be using swords in creative mode, you would be killing mobs, not destroying blocks, or entities like item frames or paintings.
Reopened for review.
fixing this would be an overhaul of a few major systems on how things work/programming in exceptions to code that could introduce more bugs then its worth.
paintings are entities as are item frames, easy lazy fix? you can no longer harm entities in creative.
not lazy fix? adding dozens if not hundreds of lines of code to check at which entities you're swinging at and then prevent you from breaking the 2 out of like 50+ entities.
