More than 1 biome (rivers don't count) can generate in customized single-biome worlds
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Customized World settings
2. Set the Biome Slider to Plains
This should only generate the Plains biome and nothing else, but instead, it generates Forests along with the forced biome.

By the way, selecting a biome and returning to the Cutomize menu will select another biome...
I'm searching if it has been reported or not. Also it would be better to have a menu where we could select / deselect some biomes, and not only one or all.

Bug is also shown in Mesa Plateau-only worlds too.
If set to Ice Plains it still generates Ice Spikes/Mountains.

Oh. I thought this was an intended feature. I rather like it, as only having a single biome can be plain, but some patches of similar biomes vary it a little.
If this is intended, it should be redesigned to make sure no one is confused, Like changing it from "Biome" to "Biome Variation" and options to things like "Flat", "Cold", "Mountainous", ect.
By 'rivers don't count' I assume it means rivers can't generate... they CAN.
'rivers don't count because rivers itself is a biome.
Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w49b or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
It's still happening as of 1.8.9, haven't tested on versions before. :C
Confirmable and bloody infuriating for Minecraft 1.10. I opened up Minecraft today in high hopes of creating a fun all-plains world to challengingly survive in (they have rare trees in plains now) and then I was shocked to spawn in a god forsaken forest. They really need to fix this one, it's a threat to the structural integrity of the customized worlds feature and screws with creativity.

Confirmed in 1.11. Infuriating! I'm trying to create a custom world with only hilly plains and no villages, called Isolation. Please fix this, Mojang! Come on! And maybe make a way to specify multiple types of biomes to generate, instead of just one?
