I can confirm this on the 1.4.2 pre-release. Prior to explosion and in an unprovoked state, the right side of the head (when looking forward at the creeper) appears extremely dark, and it turns totally white when in a damaged state.
Hi, do you mean you have 2 of the items you break? It does seem that when breaking a frame, you receive 2 of the frame, and 2 of the item inside, but your sword stays the same.
Hi there, just to clarify, I do see a graphical glitch where the base of the piston appears on the piston itself (not the arm) for a split second before the arm retracts.
From your photo, it looked like you were describing a bug where the arm would not retract fully, but now it seems clear that is not the case. If I am correct, I ask that you please update your description to reflect this information, and I'll confirm the bug for you
I couldn't duplicate this issue on the 1.4.2 pre-release. Is there something specific you were hitting it with or something you were running (mod, plugin, etc) that could have caused this to occur?
Hi there, unfortunately we do not allow feature requests on the bug tracker; this system is specifically for bugs found in Minecraft.
Was able to reproduce on 1.4.2 pre-release, thanks.
Oh, I see, you are putting the sword in the frame, correct? And when you break it you get two swords?
I see. Confirming this bug as this texture is indeed visible when the arm is retracting.
Excellent, this is confirmed then, thank you.
After having a wolf follow me around for about 2-3 minutes while walking on all different types of blocks, including stone, wood blanks, wood slabs, etc. I didn't see this glitch occur. I think you need to be a bit more specific about what's happening, please.
Can you explain what you mean by "go in a half circle, down" please?
The problem is that this is opinionated, it's not a clear bug on how the system works, it's a suggested change.
You didn't see this happen, Grum? For me I just spawned a few zombies, let the follow me, and directly after punching them they would animate like they were walking through a spider web, and move about the same speed. After about 4 seconds, they would return to normal speed.
Confirmed in 1.4.2 pre-release, however pressing escape does make it stop totally, it will not restarting after the pause menu has been activated.
The unicode font doesn't look nearly as distorted to me as it appears on your screen, it looks normal. I have to assume this is something specific to your system.
Confirmed. When dying a color with a single dye, that dye will not disappear. Moving this dye to a stack will cause it to be removed from your inventory. Dying while holding multiple dye properly removes one from the stack, however.
Actually, I may have been mistaken in confirming this. I think I put the item in while in creative mode, then switched to survival to break it. When the items dropped, I saw two of each in my inventory (because the first two hadn't been removed) and mistakenly thought it was a dupe.
I just tried again and realized this, so this may not actually be confirmed, unless the OP had some different situation in mind.
Confirmed. It appears the jukebox ejects a new disc of the same type instead of persisting the old disc (along with it's name) and ejecting that instead.
Confirmed in 1.4.2 pre-release, the player will appear to fall or roll out of bed, as if being pushed out of a block, when they lay in a bed below blocks.
Confirmed, the video accurately depicts the bug in question on 1.4.2-pre.
I too remember this occurring for quite a while.
But you're still in the portal, are you not? The animation is caused by being inside the portal block, not by actually teleporting.
Confirmed in 1.4.2 pre-release, however pressing escape does make it stop totally, it will not restarting after the pause menu has been activated.
Closing as this is a duplicate report.
Well, Max, that would make it a bug.
In any case, I did manage to duplicate this bug, I made a tunnel underground and when going around a corner, my character's head was temporarily inside of a block, and so it switched to first-person mode. However, this did not happen when the tracks were in an open area.
Please provide more information, possibly screenshots or video, and also explain what kind of circumstances caused this to occur.
It seems that anvils placed on the North/South side of a block will fall normally, while anvils placed on the East/West sides temporarily change to the North/South orientating while falling.
Do you mean a setup like this, Max? http://i.imgur.com/SoOfp.png
I tried that and it did indeed force me to first-person mode. If that's not what you're thinking of, perhaps you could send me a screenshot?
Confirmed, and the converse is true if you use the options menu to turn fullscreen ON, then use the shortcut to turn it off.
Hi, we need a lot more information in order to diagnose this bug. Could you please update the title, first of all, to something more specific to the bug in question? Additionally, please give us any information regarding possible causes of this bug, or what was happening when the crashes occurred.
I was able to create an invisible "block" with the break effect on it, but I had no issues with sound. The resulting block disappeared after the zombie walked through it, and did not appear to be solid.
Please provide a description so that we can help you with this issue.
I too was able to fire arrows while riding a pig without any issues.
Well, my point was that the basic design behind it is what caused the bug to happen, is that correct? The aesthetics of the actual system are irrelevant in this case.
I'll mark this as confirmed then and see what can be done about it.
Hi Tuna.
First of all, across your last few reports you've been very impatient and have left several comments demanding replies. We are not robots, instead most of us are volunteers here, so please do not comment on your own report or beg for replies, especially not after only a couple of minutes.
Second of all, while it's possible to rename dirt and other block objects, persistence of these names is not going to be added to Minecraft. If you mine dirt, it's going to be dirt, no matter what name you previously chose it to be.
I wasn't able to reproduce this; taking screenshots in an environment like you depicted in your pictures didn't result in any damage.
Yes, the transparency seems to occur on the side opposite the block placed.
While Gorga's comment is correct to an extent, that still doesn't solve the bug. Holding in f5 mode should indeed show the proper colouration of the item in question, and it doesn't. This is confirmed.
Let's keep the discussion on-topic, according to the actual bug being reported, please. If you have multiple bugs, you may file multiple tickets.
There is indeed a slight graphical bugging as they fight with eachother in this position.
This is confirmed, the trapdoor will close even if the block broken is just touching it.
That may be true, but it still is slightly irrelevant to the bug itself.
What sound are you referring to?
It's because you're entering the new nether-portal block in the nether, and so the effect starts.
Ok, I think we do get the point
- It still is a bug though; if you hold the item in first-person, it's coloured, so it should also be that way in third-person.
What's the point of this report?
Hi there.
Please make sure that you are actually downloading from the proper address (http://assets.minecraft.net/1_4_2/minecraft.jar) and not any other address. It's not likely that you already have some sort of virus on your system that is causing it to be downloaded from another (possibly malicious) location, but it's possible.
Also, as Gorga said, it's also plausible that your anti-virus is detecting a false-positive.
In any case, I'll be closing this as it's not an actual Minecraft bug.
I have also seen this become an issue with the introduction of unified MP/SP logic.
Cobwebs are different from grass and ferns.
Please provide a description of the bug. If you mean Minecraft goes back to windowed mode, that's because pressing "Windows" opens your start menu; any application in fullscreen mode will be set to windowed.
Closing this because it's not a bug.
Confirmed in 1.4.2-pre
Would you like me to close the report?
Thanks for providing such clear photos. This is confirmed on 1.4.2-pre.
The beacon is surrounded by glass - it would only make sense for the breakable area to be on the glass.
This does indeed happen as described. Not sure if it was present in previous versions, but it does exist in 1.4.2-PRE
This is dependent on your system. Without specifics on your setup, it's hard to tell you why this is occuring, but it's all based on your specs. If it's a server, it could simply be that you don't have a good connection to the server, the server isn't running on a capable box, or, again, your computer is not capable of handling this properly.
Closing because this is a duplicate issue of
MC-234Fairly certain this is a feature, not a bug.
I'm going to assume this was on purpose. There's a new sound that plays, it sounds like a whooshing sound, but Minecraft doesn't go through the same screen it used to when teleporting, so I have to guess that sound was just removed.
I have noticed that when a skeleton targets a human, the first shot will be instantaneous and usually exactly on target. Sometimes the arrow will be fired before the skeleton is even done turning around.
I don't know about this... I tried it with speed in both creative and survival, and the potion worked as expected, even when my inventory was open.
Well, confirmed, but if you didn't want this to be fixed I don't know why you'd put it on the bugtracker.
It's referring to the NPC logic in-game. Grum will be looking into how to solve this.
You can put it into frames, it works fine for me.
This has been around since Minecraft was created, it's intended as a feature not a bug. Back in the day this is how I kept iron cooking while I browsed the internet.
This is specific to your system. Something with your graphics card is causing this issue, it's not a bug. Also, is your client modded or no?
Closing this as a duplicate of
MC-54Do you have a picture or something more concrete as evidence of this?
Closing as duplicate of
MC-150The reason behind this is that URLs are relatively hard to accurately find in text. Minecraft, therefor, marks a lot more things as URLs than it actually should, which is better than the alternative which is sometimes not marking a URL at all, and possibly making someone frustrated.
With that said, it may be possible to tag these as non-urls or maybe link them to a place on your hard drive instead of the net, because Minecraft generates these itself. I'm not going to mark this as confirmed, though, because it's not really a bug.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-PRE
I wasn't able to duplicate this. Do you have photos or video of it?
This is an issue that only sometimes happens in creative mode, it's some kind of bug with Java or LWJGL or something to that extent. Closing and re-opening Minecraft (or sometimes exiting your world/re-entering) fixes the bug. It's not always clear what causes it, from my experience.
Hi, unfortunately your translation makes little sense. Please explain this more clearly, if possible.
The type of wool you use doesn't change the color of the bed. This isn't a bug, and it's not the place for feature requests. Closing.
Well.. I mean, technically it has, it's just changed to the same gamemode.
Could not duplicate this, it seems to be only on your system. Have you tried reinstalling Minecraft?
Could not reproduce this.
Closing as duplicate of
MC-236Could you please provide pictures or video of this happening? I haven't encountered it.
This isn't a bug, and it will happen with any block. This is because the redstone counts as a block, and if you place something on it, it's just going to rest in the air.
Closing as this isn't a bug, spiders climb stuff.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-PRE
That's an issue with the texture pack then, not Minecraft itself.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-pre.
Hi. Those are called Stairs, not a ladder, please update your title to the appropriate name. I don't think this is a bug, the stairs automatically orient themselves, and because of the way you've placed both of those stairs (one facing in, one out) I see nothing wrong with the way the third stair is oriented.
Closing because this isn't a bug.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-pre, also note this happens with any item.
This happens with creepers, but I haven't seen it occur with anything else.
I can't seem to replicate this.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-pre
Closing this because it's not a bug.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-pre - the fence appears graphically glitched at the angle described in the picture.
Confirmed on 1.4.2-pre
This is specific to your hardware, not Minecraft itself.
You need to have a better description of this bug if you want something to be fixed. The information provided is not sufficient. Additionally, if you have multiple bugs, please split them up into multiple tickets.
Just a result of how the end is lit + the night vision. Not a bug really.
Closing as this is not a bug.
Something to specific to LWJGL implementation on OSX. As such, I'm not sure the exact cause of this, but it's not in the actual Minecraft code. Have you tried updating LWJGL?
You mean save and quit to title? Or quit on the home menu? Both do not link to texture pack selection.
They deal damage as expected, could not duplicate issue.
Please provide more information regarding your system.
This isn't a bug, and we don't allow feature requests. Closing.
You can keep feeding animals wheat if you want to, that's not a bug, that's the player's choice - it's not like the animal will only accept one wheat. In any case, after breeding, animals won't breed for 5 minutes.
Closing as duplicate.
Confirmed on 1.4.2
It is not possible to have the pig swim into water while riding it.
Closing as duplicate of
MC-295Confirmed on 1.4.2. However, it seems that if you are in creative mode and you fly up past the block, you will pick the arrow up, and same in survival mode if you build up, but only once your feet are at the same level as the arrow. Not sure if this is intentional, but it doesn't seem like the right behaviour.
Closing because this isn't a bug.
This issue is not reproducible, and seems to be specific to your hardware.
Not really a bug, and like Talven said I'm rather fond of this specific "bug".
That has nothing to do with the login server, it means the server you're trying to connect to isn't being run properly, whether that means there's currently an issue and it's not accepting new connections, or it's not forwarded correctly, or even your internet is having some kind of issue connecting.
From MinecraftWiki: Villagers will remove offers if the offer has been used some number of times and it is not the villager's only offer. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Trading
Is that what's going on here? Do you think that's what's happening but the GUI is indeed failing to update?
This sounds like lag.
It's very clear this is something specific to your hardware. If your 5 year old computer can't support some of Minecraft's parts, you shouldn't run Minecraft on it.
It sounds like your server isn't updated to 1.4.2
Duplicate of
MC-133, closing.I followed your steps exactly, and the potion wore off exactly after the 0:00 mark, as expected.
Confirmed on 1.4.2
It does look a bit choppy.. Not sure if something can be done about this easily or why it is caused..
Closing as duplicate of
MC-38It flees as normal, not reproducible.
Might you have a screenshot?
The intent of the dropper is to drop items and nothing more. Period. Just because you want it to perform a certain way does not mean special functionality should be added to it diverting from its purpose, because other people probably don't want that. If you wanted to request that DISPENSERS spawn minecarts onto rails, that might be acceptable, but this won't happen as it goes against the whole purpose of the dropper.
