Fishing line appears thick in the distance
The bug
When looking at another player fishing from a certain distance, their line does not properly scale and appears to be much more "fat" than it should. It also appears to lose curvature, this may be due to the angle of viewing.
How to reproduce
- Set video settings to above (other settings are untested for this bug, if others could confirm this for different settings, that would be appreciated)
- Move a couple of chunks away from another player while maintaining line of sight
- Watch them fish, looking at the line

I believe it works as intended too. The line is just drawn over the scene graph, it's not a 3D object.

Possible works as Intended, I think.
Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w02c? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.9 / Launcher version 1.3.11 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
I think it may be a works as intended. If anyone thinks otherwise, their concerns should be voiced soon. I will check to see if it is still present in the game, however.
