When standing in a Nether Portal in Survival or Adventure gamemode, switching over to Spectator will cause you to be teleported to the Nether instantly.

You should stay in the Overworld as Spectator gamemode does not allow teleportation to the Nether.What actually happened was...:
You get teleported to the Nether.Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build a Nether Portal.
2. Make a very fast redstone clock that will change the gamemode to Spectator for players standing inside the portal.
3. Put your gamemode to Survival or Adventure and walk into the Portal.Environment

How can you use to F3 + F4 thing and chat at the same time in the portal? Are you using somekind of client? I can only reproduce this bug by going in the nether portal as a spectator and then switching into creative mode.
Can't reproduce this bug in 1.16.1 or 20w29a, only can reproduce when player in spectator switches to creative when they're in a nether portal.

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.
Affects 1.16-rc1. That you can’t use portals in spectator is probably a bug. MC-46421
I am able to reproduce without any issue in 20w29a
You cannot use F3 + F4 and chat at the same time. To reproduce this I press F3 + N in survival mode when I am in a nether portal.
