Locator maps are not appearing on the main nor the secondary slot. Using an empty one doesn't appear on either slots, either. Moving around makes the map flicker

I am on Android and the bug still exists for me.

The reason is that the map ID of render_controllers and animation_controllers, the map ID of player_firstperson.animation in animations, etc. have not changed even though the map ID has changed in 1.16.100.
can fix it by changing'map'to'filled_map'.

However, unfortunately this report is Incomplete.
It does not contain enough information and as such, we've unable to understand or reproduce the bug.
You listed 1.14.60 as the affected version but this sounds like the map issue in the BETA's covered by MCPE-76166 which does not affect 1.14.60.

They don't show up on Item Frames either
I’m experiencing the same. Cannot pop them out of the frame so it is not clear they are actually there. Maps remain in inventory and chests but can’t be viewed in any way.

I am experiencing this issue on Windows 10.
In Windows 10 PC v.1.16.0.60 Beta, maps are invisible in either hand (off hand and Hot Bar), see screenshots above. This renders the Beta unplayable.
i have the same problem right after the update happened on my xbox.
Also have this issue on windows 10 beta and desperately NEED maps! However, super happy to see it's a bug as I didn't notice it missing until in Nether and thought it might've been a parity thing!
Same on XBOX one. Related to missing backgrounds from tooltips and missing cursor on inventory/recipe selection? Both appeared with .60 update
Also applies to treasure maps. However, I unintentionally was running and jumping with the hotbar spot holding the map chosen (unable to see it) and it would flash visible very briefly once in a while. The off hand does not seem to do this as I'm still carrying my regular locator map in that hand. I can't get the flashing to last long enough, often enough, or consistent enough to determine what makes it flash visible or to read the map effectively

Also experiencing on Windows 10, from update performed yesterday. Mutliple graphics bugs, probably all related.
This issue is really messing with gameplay, but the giant floor nap is an awesome idea! Really hope that no one is bothered by what I guess is a gross misuse of the comments section.
Invisible maps in the hand and frames. Invisible inventory arrow and item textbox background when arrow is over an item.
Makes exploring almost impossible so until this is sorted I'm not playing Minecraft.

Welp, hell of a Mother's Day gift Mojang, or lack there of. I really thought you would update today, but instead I'm playing a Minecraft version that's on the same level as the handmade cards my kids gave me.
If it hasn't been mentioned yet, the 'X' on treasure maps is also not visible when the map DOES glitch visible long enough to look at it.
Same issue with invisible painting and maps on Win10 beta 1.16.0.60.
