Player Activity for Realms is not updating
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/REALMS-1030?focusedCommentId=494071#comment-494071
With the new GPDR legislation going into effect in May, we had to do some changes into how we track and log player activity on Realms. Unfortunately we had to take down this feature in the process, as we don't have the neccessary consent from all users - owners and guests - to log and show their activity to other players.
Unfortunately, getting the engineering work in place to actually get the consent from all players is a bit bigger feat than expected, so we probably won't be getting activity tracking back on Realms soon. I understand this is not the answer you were looking for, but we will get this feature back to Realms in the future.
Player Activity stopped updating. Updated to 5/28 and then stopped. Can't seem to find anything about it online, just wondering if this is a User error, software error, or connection error?
Have had at least 10-12 people on since 5/28, per the screen snip, clearly not updating.
HELP!
Thanks

Carl Castillo, your ticket is resolved as a duplicate of REALMS-1030.
Dustin and Tom Hines, this feed is marked as "Resolved" because it is a duplicate issue already being covered in another thread REALMS-1030 which is linked above. Yes, even though that one is still "Open" thus signifying the overall issue has not yet been fixed, please don't make annoying temper tantrum posts in the future without first doing a bit of research into the issue. It's childish. Had you actually done so, you would have realized they didn't actually mark the issue as "Resolved," only this thread as a duplicate, in order to try and keep everything in one place. It would've saved you some time. I've been a user of this website for literally half an hour and even I was able to figure this out. Look around and read a little before you post...please and thank you.
See REALMS-1030.

Same with my Java Realms server.
There has been at least 2 known players online in de last 7 days.
The backups even show that the last activity should have been 2 days ago.
But it's not tracked in the Player activity.
Its extremely inconvienient for me not to be able to see this kind of info.
This is a known issue, and we will bring the player activity tab back in a future update.
@Fredrik Telenius
Thankyou for letting us know rather than leaving us in the dark with this as it has been a while since we have heard anything. Hope this update won't take as long as the ever coming Aquatic Update
Realms doesn't give the owner of a server much options, but that did not bother me much. I at least expect good support by choosing Realms. The time it took before the problem was acknowledged, then the amount of time has gone by without any hint of it being worked on.
I made the decision to move out my server. I just don't want to pay a premium without getting the service you should be getting for it's price. I can not recommend realms at all without support.
Mojang, please get your priorities right in the future!

Closing the ticket for now
Can you explain how this issue relates to GDPR?
Realms are invite only. My users all know that I am the admin. Consent to my seeing their playing history is implied when they join. If my users do not want me to know their playing history, they can certainly choose to leave my Realm. I am really not sure why this is an issue at all. Having the player history really helps when I need to do a restore and do not want to overwrite someones works.
The point is that the data is still saved on Mojang's servers, you as the server admin not the relevant party here.
"Consent is implied"... that's not how the GDPR works. Users must explicitly consent to their data being processed.
@violine1101, thank you for the response. I can now see how this relates to GDPR. Though the data may not be all that interesting, and most users probably will not care, the point of GDPR is that, for reasons of privacy, the users must provide explicit consent.
I'm not really familiar with the details as I'm not a lawyer. But as was already said above, it's not as simple.
Geez after all these years I am still getting emails about this ticket I created! xD Delete this please lol
@violine1101, simple or not, it is still a feature that I (and apparently many others) would like to have re-enabled.
@Carl Castillo, you know you can always click on the "Stop watching this issue" link.
