The Bug:
Bonus chests can replace blocks upon generating.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Place the bonus chest feature by using the command provided below.
/place feature minecraft:bonus_chest
- Run this command until you notice the bonus chest replaces nearby blocks.
Observed Behavior:
Bonus chests can replace blocks.
Expected Behavior:
Bonus chests would not be able to replace blocks.

The location of the bonus chest is completely random and not based on the seed, so you will need a few tries until it happens.
Reproduced with seed 4370164571692543076
Can confirm in 20w49a.
Can't replicate in 21w16a - generates properly.
Can confirm in 1.19. This can now be much more easily reproduced by using the "/place" command.
