Texture planes of cross models appear incorrectly mirrored from behind
As this model contains prominent intersecting planes, the current behaviour may be intended as per MC-96463.
Note how the thorn being targeted (that the crosshair is on) in the first screenshot does not appear in the same position on the other side of the plane in the second screenshot.
Fixed cross models attached.

The current behaviour is without a doubt intended as per MC-96463 (refer to ticket's history) and the Works As Intended resolutions of MC-199241, MC-199248, MC-202595, MC-202598 and MC-206570. Please focus on fixing all other currently open plane-mirroring tickets.
Note how the targeted leaf section does not appear in the same place on the back of that plane.
Fixed model attached.
Doesn't this just outright duplicate MC-199241?
EDIT: seems pointed dripstones indeed do use an individual model instead of just referencing cross

The bug
The planes composing dripleaf plants do not mirror on the back as one would expect, resulting in physical/illogical weirdness.
How to reproduce
- Place a large dripleaf
- View the light pixel on top of the dripleaf
- View the leaf from below
- Note that the position of the light pixel has shifted

The bug
The planes composing dripleaf plants do not mirror on the back as one would expect, resulting in physical/illogical weirdness.
How to reproduce
- Place a small dripleaf
- View a specific leaf of the block from above
- View the exact same section of that leaf from below
- Note that the exact texture pattern at that position is different, even though it should be the same

The bug
The plane composing the top of an azalea does not mirror on the back as one would expect, resulting in physical/illogical weirdness.
How to reproduce
- Place an azalea
- View a specific section of the azalea top from above, for example the sort of L shape visible to the left from the underside
- View the exact same section of that texture plane from the inside (best seen with night vision, due to
MC-213804) - Note that the exact texture pattern at that position is different, even though it should be the same
Relates to MC-190774, MC-199237, MC-199239, MC-199241, MC-199242, MC-199248, MC-201748, MC-201750, MC-201751, MC-201753, MC-201760, MC-202595, MC-202598, MC-203036, MC-205158, MC-206570, MC-212305, MC-214693, MC-214694, MC-214695, MC-214696
See comments on MC-199241 as to why. TL;DR it would make the plants look weird from one axis.
See MC-199241 for why. The block would look strange from certain angles.
See images in comments of MC-199241 The model will look weird from some directions if you you mirror the backfaces.

I can also confirm this same thing happening with the spines of cacti. I'm not sure if this falls under the same report as this one, but if you don't think so, feel free to create a report for that
Pretty sure that's MC-129108
Yeah my bad, you are correct
I can confirm for 20w46a.
Can confirm in 20w51a.
"Fixing" this causes the ugly mirrored look from two sides, seems ill-advised
Can confirm in 21w05b. I do agree that fixing this would result it those models looking more "ugly". This is just my opinion, however.
Can confirm in 21w06a.
May relate to MCPE-40646 (which is the opposite of this issue).
Don't chains also have a "cross" model? Their mirroring issues were fixed.
Yes and no since each plane's texture differs.
