Updated description by [Mod] GoldenHelmet
Steps to reproduce
(These steps are automated in Illagers fight each other.mcworld
.)
- Create an iron golem in a place where it can't move.
- Spawn a vindicator and an evoker near the iron golem, so that they target it.
- Spawn pillagers behind the vindicator and evoker, so that they target the iron golem but hit the vindicator and evoker when they shoot.
Expected result
Vindicator and evoker continue to target the iron golem, ignoring hits from pillagers.
Actual result
Vindicator and evoker target the pillagers when hit by them.

The behavior pack does not fix witches and vexes illagers attack them, for example, in java they don't attack each other even though vexes are evoker's summons and witches are part of the raid, you might need to fix the behavior pack with witches and vexes, i know that the behavior pack fixes the bug but the witches are vexes does not fix them, when a evoker summons a vex, if a pillager shot a vex, it attacks the pillager and it will fight back, witches fight other witches and if it throws a potion at a illager, it start fighting them but java doesn't

Adding every beta and hotfix version is not important. As long as a recent release version is on the ticket and it has an ADO number, it will remain open and be considered when Mojang updates their internal priorities.

The pillager.json and ravager.json entity files are missing the line
{ "test" : "is_family", "subject" : "other", "value" : "snowgolem"}
in the minecraft:behavior.nearest_attackble_target component.
The ravager.json, but not the pillager.json is also missing
{ "test" : "is_family", "subject" : "other", "value" : "wandering_trader"}
This issue is similar to MCPE-42373, except there it is the vindicator and evoker that are missing some .json coding.
The attached behavior pack, [^Illagers fixed.mcpack], fixes this bug by adding the code mentioned above.
Removed my workaround pack as it is outdated after the changes to raid despawning.

Same with evoker. Evokers kill pillager that acidentally hit it
Skellies and witches have always done this, attack each other. Maybe it is a normal thing
Also if evoker was accidentally injured by pillager. It would fight back and pillager won't care about that . Pillager and Ravager won't fight each other. The Vindicator who named “Johnny” won't attack pillager and ravager
Witches aren't technically an illager because they can be killed by vindicators or evokers (if a witch accidentally throws a potion at the evoker.)
I saw a vindicator in patrol kill his patrol captain. So weird
I add the testing video.
I found the reason!
{ "test": "is_family", "subject": "other", "operator": "!=", "value": "illager" }Vindicator and Evoker lost :
"minecraft:behavior.hurt_by_target": {
"priority": 1,
"entity_types": {
"filters":
}
},
This is weird even pillagers are member of the "Illager" Family, they shouldn't be targeted or killed from Vindicators and Evokers even from missed arrow.. same in Java Edition
They should fix this bug, and also the raid captain are missing
The .json code cited by DrAlanWong is present in pillager.json, but missing from vindicator.json and evocation_illager.json.
Helper GoldenHelmet is right. Also Ravager has this json.code.
Still not fix 1.16.0.67
Still not fix in 1.16.
Still not 1.16 and 1.16.20 beta.. Like when do they fix this one, it's not even a hard bug. When a raid occurs the Vindicators will kill all pillagers for the player, making 1.14 update is not literal finish.
OMG when do they fix this bug... its annoying seeing vindicators killing their comrades in raids or even in patrols.
Do you know how ridiculous when a pillager hit evoker (evocation illager) and the evoker use the fang attack the pillager but nothing happen(because illager won't take damage from evocation fang) then pillager kill by vex....
This ridiculous, the Pillager doesn't even attack back. It makes for an interesting fight i'll say.
Sorry for that but I must said. I think illager should not fight each other because Jeb said illager is the "some kind of generic, evil soldier mob in the game - slightly more intelligent than skeletons." Also illager should ignoring missed arrow hits by illager themselves. Not the skeleton family behavior. They should be like Java Edition or Minecraft Dungeons behavior. So if illager family can't take evoker fangs and Johnny vindicator's damage. Why don't ignore pillager's arrows damage? (Sorry for my low English level but I want to said that is not true. )
Good idea for be immune to pillager arrow, but this bug is the most weirdest for me and its not fix!. I hope this will be fix, and add a new behavior same in java. Like they can open doors even not spawned from raids, can target baby villagers, and same raid mechanics.

@Kingsley Zhang: vexes are not illagers, so this report does not apply to them.
The attached behavior pack, [^Illagers fixed.mcpack], fixes this bug by adding the missing code identified in an earlier comment.
Naming vindicator johnny does not attack pillager or ravager unless it shot him
it is meant to be a illager and wasn’t trying to kill an illager
It is one of the most common issue in Minecraft, unlike java, illagers don’t fight each other, naming vindicator Johnny will attack ravager in java and does not fight back
This issue is related to MCPE-115094
Mojang didn't fix it yet, the version of it still affects 1.16.210
This also happen with players too, if you hit a vindicator it won't attack the pillager
As of this video, pillager shot a vindicator when target a player https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/attachment/384941/Bug.mp4
Can confirm for 1.16.220 and 1.16.230 beta
DrAlanWong, he is inactive
@Kingsley Zhang: Ravager is only be an illager in Bedrock edition. In java edition game file ravager doesn't have illager tag but ignore illager's attack. Not only Minecraft, even the Minecraft:Dungeons game data doesn't counted the ravager is a type of illager.
I think this should be a feature because vindicators/evokers and neutral mobs and I think this should be kept to show their aggression no matter if they are attacking other Illagers
@Ambessa123:So if it is a feature. How to explain pillager and ravager won't fight back? And just ignore hurting by vindicator and evoker? Ironnically the game data note that Evoker fangs won't deal any damage to illager family. Imagine that an evoker shoot by a pillager's missed arrow during raid. And it try to use its fangs to kill that pillager but can't to deal any damage. Also talk about neutral mobs. What about Piglin family? Should they be attack each other too?
