Carved pumpkin can't be enchanted in survival mode
The bug
The regular, uncarved pumpkin can be enchanted in survival mode, instead of the carved one. Inspite the fact only carved ones can actually be worn on the head.
This is likely due to the introduction of the carving mechanic, when the two blocks became separate ones, and one replaced the other, without moving the enchantability properly.

1.14 - still cant add enchantements on carved pumpkins, but only on pumpkins who is notwearable.... FIX it finnaly, how hard it could be to change pumpkin id to carved pumpkin????

This would literally be a 20 seconds fix.
Comeon, its like we never get Fixed pumpkins, why then even needed this stupid update, that now only normal pumpkins can be enchanted, but when u carve them they cant be enchanted... ( tryed even enchant normal one then carve it) not working it just takes enchants off... and basically u lose stuff for nothing..
P.S i added screens, that it CAN'T be enchanted in 1.14.3-pre4 too... in Survival... Only it CAN be enchanted in creative mode...
The switched enchantability on the uncarved and carved pumpkins is indeed a bug, but this has been confirmed already. Grum already looked into it, but no idea when this is going to get fixed yet.

I know this probably isn't on your top priority, but this issue has been here for over a year and a half, and I was wondering if there could just be a hotfix or something for this issue. I'm not sure how difficult this issue could be from my POV, but it seems like a simple rename of either the items themselves or which items can be enchanted could be the fix. Thanks for the support in the long run.

Awesome! Now time to have fun with friends stuck with pumpkins on their head! I really do appreciate the fix on this small issue that's kind of a small "quality of life" type of deal.
Bug has reappeared on 1.14.4
It was never fixed for/in 1.14.4.
