MC-94413
The bug
24w13a fixes MC-94413 by giving cobwebs their own sounds. However, tripwire has yet to receive its own sounds, and still incorrectly defaults to stone sounds.
How to fix
Make tripwire's placement, breaking, etc. sounds the exact same sounds as those used for cobwebs, or introduce dedicated sounds for tripwire.
Despite this issue being resolved fairly recently, I'd like to request of a review for it be reopened. If the issue is intended to stay resolved, I would then request it be resolved again as Working as Intended instead. The issue arguably describes a valid issue which has already been reported in MC-94413 as Connoer pointed out, and was previously triaged before. Considering cobweb and string are the same material, it would be expected that the two would share the same sounds. If this is not the case, for the sake of clarity I think it would be benefical to show this is intentional design.
MC-182820 and MC-200484 describe issues where the sound doesn't match the material the block is made out of. Repeaters/comparators are made out of stone, not wood, but made stone sounds. Jukeboxes are completely made out of wood but made stone sounds too.
MC-269984 is valid since there's a newly added sound for cobwebs that can be used (edit: and also was included in the much older MC-94413). MC-265459 and MC-265460 have not yet been triaged and can still be resolved as invalid or WAI by Mojang.
You're requesting a change here that's not motivated by any logical explanation; redstone makes a stone sound because it's a kind of stone (as is in the name); requesting to change that without any further clarification on why it is a bug is obviously feedback / a change request.
All these decisions are completely consistent with each other, and even if they weren't, Mojang always makes the final call about what is and isn't a bug and I'm asking you to finally respect that. Thank you.
