Sprinting backwards
When you enter in the sprinting mode, if you suddenly release the forward key and follow to press the backwards key, you can sprint backwards. Watch the video for an example.

Confirmed to be affecting 1.1.3 / iOS.
But I honestly don't want this to be fixed...
Confirmed on Windows 10 PC.
Confirmed for 1.7.0.9 beta.
Prepared to submit a report for the 1.9.0.3 beta until I found this
This happened to me on a multiplayer world and now everyone else on that world is trying to sprint backwards, Here are the devices that were used to play on that world:
All devices had the latest operating system versions and were all on Minecraft beta 1.9.0.3
In addition: you can sprint sideways!

this is a neat bug. hopefully they dont fix it even the mods love it

I dont understand why people want this "fixed". It doesnt impact gameplay at all and I would argue its a neat feature.
@ambient Some people don't want this fixed (the mods commented above), and also it can be used to sprint in any direction (i commented above saying that you can sprint sideways)
I believe this is inconsistent across devices—I cannot sprint sideways or backwards on iOS.

Still an issue
I am having difficulty reproducing this bug in Preview 1.19.40.20. Perhaps it was inadvertently fixed along with
MCPE-144702?I also cannot reproduce this issue anymore as of 1.19.40.20.
