Crafting continously is impossible on touch screen
In the help menu crafting tab it says that I can craft an item continously by tapping and holding an output item.
To reproduce:
- Get a bunch of items you can make stuff out of (Ex. Wood)
- Tap an item you want to craft in the recipe book
- Tap and hold the output item
Result: - Nothing happens. You have to tap the output item repeatedly.

This needs to be fixed because I want to make big profits with my tree farm and turn them into sticks for fletchers but with this bug I have to tap my screen hundreds of times to make almost nothing.

Settings => video => UI Profile => Classic. This fixes the bug and removes the terrible pocket ui
Classic UI Profile does not seem to solve this (at least in v1.6.1, IOS 12.0). Tested with bonemeal to bone block and vice versa, using both crafting recipe and manual crafting. The only output option is single items, not multiple. Testing was done with quantities of crafting components whose output would equal less than a full stack of output.
This is desperately needed. I grab my controller specifically for bulk crafting. Ppl shouldn't have to spend $50 to play an $8 game. Honestly, I'd prefer a dedicated "craft all" and "craft stack" button, but any sort of bulk crafting for touch controls would be welcome.
It hasn't been resolved yet in the latest edition, which is annoying.
I haven't thought to much of it, until now I realize how long this hasn't been fixed.

Still not been resolved, more than a year later. Only workaround I can think of is to use a auto-clicker.
What is wrong here, can someone please address this? Of all the bugs they fixed in the latest release, this was overlooked?? Why?
One would THINK this would be addressed as higher priority as a user accessibility issue. Some folks with physical disabilities cannot be tapping crazily to craft a ton of items. This needs fixing.
Please fix this! This is one of the worst issues when playing mobile and it should be such an easy fix. It's the same functionality we use to move partial stacks!
Maybe not enough people were complaining . . . Noisy wheel gets the oil. I almost have a full double chest of hand tapped bone blocks. So painful.
Yea, I don't even bother touching my skeleton spawner for that reason. Yesterday crafting up 6 stacks of hoppers and 6 stacks of chests, a stack of comparators, and a stack of pistons for an auto item sorter was downright painful
It took me somewhere around an hour to craft about 4 shulker boxes of melon blocks. My crappy tablet mixed with having an automatic sheep, pumpkin, and huge gold farm in the area also made it excruciatingly slow. Like to the point where I could make less than two blocks per second.
This is a huge problem specialy when you need to craft a huge amount of items

I have a zero tick sugar cane farm, and it is an absolute pain to craft stacks of paper over and over again
I really hope this bug is still on the radar. It is sad when the only workaround is to hook up a bluetooth keyboard to allow you to press a SHIFT key that is not available on the regular touch screen interface for minecraft bedrock on mobile.

I “third“ the request for dev prioritization of this problem. I’ve only ever played Minecraft on my iPad and based on what I’ve seen from other players on other formats, this is an issue very much preventing some aspects of serious iPad gameplay. If you want to maintain and attract serious iOS players, then get serious on this issue.

To the commenter above, this has existed in the game since 0.0.0. It has always existed and always will exist. At no point in Bedrock or MCPE’s history was the player bale to get more then 1 output at once out from a crafting table. At least in all the years I've played. It’s been a heavily requested feature though so maybe one day, many many years from now, it is added. (Maybe mobile GUI support in general is added...)
The worst thing is this functionality is (1) already in the instruction book and (2) already in the game when it comes to inventory of chests, hoppers, furnaces, shulker boxes, etc., etc., etc. The functionality already exists: just make it work for the crafting interface. Please???

Suggest just adding a toggleable button on the touch screen interface to let us toggle between regular crafting and SHIFT crafting. PLEASE!!!

Alright for anybody that badly wants this glitch fixed like I do, a gracious modder has fixed it and it’s simply a resource pack, dosen’t even disable cheats that means. The site where you can download it is found here. Just scroll down to Utility and then tap Quick Crafting to download it.

Thanks Amphy2k! Quick craft has been so so nice. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out you have to tap the arrow on the craft screen and not the output to use it, but it has made gameplay so much more enjoyable.
(Please fix this bug though Mojang! Continuous crafting by pressing and holding output is in the in-game instructions!)

That resource pack is a PERFECT solution. PLEASE Mojang include a similar solution for Bedrock Mobile.

Also since it got buried below. I’ll repost it here. This is a temporary fix for the bug and information you may need to download it.
Alright for anybody that badly wants this glitch fixed like I do, a gracious modder has fixed it and it’s simply a resource pack, dosen’t even disable cheats that means. The site where you can download it is found here https://sites.google.com/view/avsites/bedrock-tweaks/resource-packs. Just scroll down to Utility and then tap Quick Crafting to download it.

First of all, thank you for the hardwork devs! For making the game and improving it. The bulk crafting should be improvised for simplier performance in the game. It's really frustrating and annoying to craft a set of items by tapping the screen a lot of times. It is already on your crafting instructions to do this yet it's not working at all. We've found addons for this as a work around however, sometimes, these addons causes some glitches in the game. I am not a coder by any means but what could this certain code be much of a hassle as this takes a VERY LONG TIME to resolve. Once again, thank you so much devs for the game. Hopefully this gets more attention.
Easily fixed by adding a button to the UI to craft a full stack that’s available for all bedrock editions. Just add a text box with “OR” in between both outputs and add a second box with a full stack of items. Only enable if the needed resources are available. Even better if there’s a spin box or line edit to manually edit the number as desired. This isn’t a hard UI trick.
On Honor A8 if you tap multiple times on screen to craft item in bulk then game lags.
Can confirm in 1.16.201! This should be of high importance since it is so annoying having to spam to craft bulk!

Hello, this is confirmed to be fixed in most crafting overlays, but it does not work in the stonecutter. Is that WAI for the stonecutter? Or should tap and hold stack crafting work in that crafting ui too?
I am on iPadOS 14.6, using Minecraft Bedrock 1.17.2. Crafting stairs in the stonecutter is so frustrating.
