Can reproduce the bug on Android as well, it only affects normal gold ores, not nether ones.
You must break it from iron or diamond pickaxe.

Same issue, Gold Ore from overworld and Guilded Blackstone from Nether will not smelt in Furnace or Blast Furnace. Playing on Android 1.16.0.57.
Only Gold Ore seems to be affected. Might have something to do with how the new ores (Nether Gold Ore and Gilded Blackstone) are handled?
I couldn't make gold armor, so piglins were attacking me. Until I mined enough nether gold ore and made myself some golden boots XD

However, change the name to nether_gold_ore via MCC ToolChest and they will smelt

you can still smelt nether gold ore, my recommendation if you need to get gold is to go to the nether and silk touch the nether gold ore and smelt it.
This is an issue in at least XBOX ONE but may exist in the other betas as well

Just check play store, there's an update for Minecraft from 1.16.0.57 to 1.16.0.58. hopefully it solve the issue, I'll let you know when I'm done

Still having this problem on Xbox one beta. How long does it usually take for issues like this to get fixed?
For me... This is heavier than the marketplace crash on Android (I also play on android device), cause this is the core gameplay it self. IT's a real trouble specially when I'm mining. I smelt ores then turn them to blocks to save some space.
DenixCo - not even close. The "Marketplace" crash happened on startup of the game when it auto-checks the marketplace if you own content, making it completely unplayable on Android AND on some Windows 10 devices (including mine). I hadn't been able to play for a week, while my wife on our XBox could play but was unable to smith gold or benefit from fortune-enhanced tools. No contest - the bug that makes the game 100% unplayable is worse than the one that inconveniences one aspect of gameplay. If you're desperate, swap to creative, throw your ore into lava and replace it with ingots, and swap back.
Guys I may not be the creator but you should only comment when you have new evidence. We have the vote and follow system. We should not clutter this with "I have the same problem" or other stuff like that. Just comments with new info that we dont know.
