Punching falling sand plays player attack sound
Punching falling sand (or any falling block) will play the new player attack sound. I expected there to be no sound at all because falling blocks are not affected in any way by attacks and generally can't be interacted with.

Closest Issue Found – MC-93086
Similar to the issue above, the new player attack sound will play when hitting a dying mob.
Duplicate of MC-93086
Duplicates MC-93086, which is WAI.
I would then first suggest then that the situations which duplicate MC-93086 be removed from the issue because case #2 and #3 are directly stated in the bullets points, and to just focus on case #1 only.
Though, I'm still not entirely sure how iframes are different than other cases of invulnerability since both result in the entity being invincible/invulnerable. Since the issue was confirmed, Mojang can decide that.

Can confirm.
Well, you're generally "attacking" the entity. Wonder if this works with the Invulnerable tag on?
Also occurs in Invulnerable tag.

This can also test your attack strength. (Weak, Strong, Crit, Sweep, Spam-Clicking, etc.).
Seems to be fixed as of 17w16a.
Looks like it was only fixed for falling blocks (only tested tnt and invulnerable entities though)
Removed TNT from the summary because it is already included in MC-111656 which covers all entities which are not attackable at all.
This report here could however be invalid since the sound event is called entity.player.attack.nodamage, the problem appears to be that the sounds.json file uses the weak sounds for this event as well.
