I was recently trying to start up Minecraft, then within a few seconds, the game just freezes and whenever I wanted to force quit, a window pops up saying that Java stopped working. This exit code can be the result of various issues, and can be difficult to pinpoint the source. Often times, it is can be caused by the game running out of memory. Check your JVM arguments, or remove any resource packs installed for this.
This might also be caused by malware, such as premieropinion. Running adwcleaner removes it

Then the game crashes at random times.
- Run the Launcher as Administrator (right click -> Run as administrator)
- Try a malware scan:

- Run a Scan, Clean anything it finds, restart the computer
- If that doesnt fix it, use the old launcher:

MCL-6550for other potential fixes
New launcher will not get my Minecraft to get passed MOJANG logo after pressing PLAY. Shows me that Minecraft is Not Responding, and close it out showing an error of Java Platform SE Binary is not responding. Reinstalled newest version of Java, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft, upgraded my laptop from Windows 8 to Windows 10 and I still cannot get passed the MOJANG logo still. I have no idea what else to do to resolve this issue other than going out and wasting a ton of money on a new laptop. In conclusion, new launcher has caused me to no longer play Minecraft on my laptop, as the old version worked perfectly fine before the 2.0.806 launcher update.

1) _JAVA_OPTIONS - not present in the system
2) Discord is not installed
3) None of "Incompatible software" is installed
4) Using any third party "Cleaners" is a very bad move. I am regularly checking my setup with Fortinet, Paloalto and other big and trusted vendor solutions with none of them in permanently installed state in the system.
And last - I am asking to elevate ticket to the second tier of support or higher.

Just to be clear, its a different issue from
MC-74465as _JAVA_OPTIONS is not set, there is no resource packs or mods and the RAM is set to the default 1GBEdit: Going back to the old launcher works, (logs just in case http://paste.ubuntu.com/24092826/)
Can confirm this problem, though I discovered a few things in the past 3 hours of troubleshooting with someone else.
I can get away with launching MC 1.12.2 ONLY when I have it modded for some reason (I use Mo Creatures and Biomes o Plenty) and when I do have it launched and a world loaded, it's using a whopping 7.3 GB of my RAM. I have 24 GB of RAM overall so I think that's the only reason why I was able to load and run it. I am also able to launch and run 1.13 with some trial and error, and it appears to only be using 1.5 GB of RAM. I presume the launcher is somehow able to ask for too much memory, even if it doesn't use it all.
Also for some reason, the Java version affects it. I rolled back to version 8 update 171 and had less crashes on 1.12.2, I was even able to try to load a world.
I downloaded the game today, but I can not start the game. The message appears that the game crashed whilst initializing game.

Had the same issue ever since 1.13, disabling Discord and making sure the game does not launch in full screen seems to be a fix, guessing its not a issue with the game code but rather discord overlay causing further issues.

I seriously don't want to use adwcleaner, I just downloaded something wrong by accident and messed stuff up, last thing I want is to completely destroy my computer beyond repair. So if a Mod could let me know it's completely 100% safe I'll use it.

I can play for 2 seconds when a world is loaded then this error happens. The minecraft logo also lags at the start for me. I have updated drivers, reinstalled, downloaded java, made all the combinations of Vsync and Vbos, allocated 10GB of RAM, reinstalled without a firewall, used ADWcleaner, restarted computer, disabled discord, started in windowed, redownloaded the launcher, you name it and I've done it and it still crashes. Help. Please.
I have the same problem and tried everything Harry Sinclair has. Cannot play the game at all.

Closing a tech support issue - so far, all of the users with this code we've been able to help there.
This issue has not been resolved on MACOS unfortunately, I'd like to think it was an issue on my side, however, this seems to be only happening with the Minecraft launcher when everything else seems fine. Please, I need help with this issue.

ESET Security has a feature that interferes with Minecraft’s ability to connect to Mojang’s servers. To fix it, follow these instructions here, and set the mode to Interactive. Then, open the launcher and try to log into Minecraft. ESET will open a window asking what to do, press EXCLUDE.
If the above fix does not work, you will need to uninstall ESET Antivirus.

If you are using Kaspersky Internet Security and cannot connect to Mojang’s servers, turn off Encrypted Connections Scan by following this guide.

Parental Control Software

The latest version fixes the problem with Minecraft. To install the latest version, log into your Covenant Eyes account here, go to the Downloads section, and download version 7.2.41 or newer. If you have a much older version of Covenant Eyes (4.5.3 or older), uninstall Covenant Eyes and then install it again with the most recent version.
If the above fix does not work, you will need to uninstall Covenant Eyes.

Download AdwCleaner, run a Scan, then Quarantine. Restart when AdwCleaner has finished cleaning, then try running the game again.

Game Enhancement Software
Later versions of D3DGear have fixed this problem. To fix this problem, uninstall D3DGear and install the latest version.
Disable the Overlay feature in Discord.
Disable the the Ingame Overlay feature.
Disabling the in-game overlay should solve this issue. Laptop users should also disable Whisper Mode and Battery Boost.
Uninstall the software then delete _JAVA_OPTIONS=-Xmx256mb (or 512mb) from your Enviroment Variables.
VPNs and Networking Bridging Software
Fundamentally conflicts with the Internet as it is squatting on an occupied block of IPv4 address. Also has the tendency to break Minecraft multiplayer.
For proper server hosting, set up port forwarding on your router or use a server hosting solution (such as Minecraft Realms).

Mojang has blocked most VPN users from logging into Minecraft as these free VPNs are often used by malicious users to hack into accounts.

Can confirm. This is still in 1.17.1. Sometimes, when I start Minecraft, it opens, but then it says Not Responding. When I close it, it gave me exit code -805306369.
Issues started when I updated to 1.19
I just tried it and I got the same exit code. (-805306369)
I think it has to do with storage space on the hard drive
I was having this problem until I removed some of my files, thus freeing up some space on the hard drive. Haven’t seen this problem since. (I was also using the old launcher)
TL;DR - add memory to the Java settings in the instance and it should fix it
So I came here because ever since I've updated to the 1.17 / Java 17 launcher combo, I've been getting this error whenever I'd leave the game instance of a default setup (latest stable vanilla),
After a while of either trying different options, I was going through this issue's comments and possible resolutions when I came across a link to an old MC version saying you need to change the memory settings but I was confused because I was using the default settings and expected it to work with my current version of the game - turns out 2Gb XMS memory allocation is not enough for my version and increasing to 4Gb resolved my issue so you might want to try it as well...
