- Zombies target villagers within a 35– to 52.5–block radius (depending on regional difficulty)[Java Edition only] or a 16-block radius[Bedrock Edition only] and they can always see villagers through walls. If a zombie is attacking a villager and sees the player, it interrupts its attack on the villager to attack the player instead, even if the player has not attacked it[JE only]. Once a zombie has targeted a villager, the zombie ignores any other villagers and the player, until its target is dead or the zombie is attacked[JE only].

Since the zombies are no longer able to see villagers through walls, now they needs to breaking doors via random pathfinding if they has CanBreakDoors NBT tag, but they usually fails when trying to break doors via random pathfinding (they just trying to break the door a few times, then give up breaking the doors and walk away). @4ebugger,
The following is quoted from the description:

MC-110510was fixed, the zombies can no longer see though walls. This is a vaild parity issue because the feature was exists in 1.13 and prior versions.
We are only tracking parity issues that meet both of the following criteria:
- The feature affected by the parity issue is present in both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.
- The parity issue was introduced in Buzzy Bees (Bedrock Edition 1.14 / Java Edition 1.15) or later.
Any parity issue that does not meet these criteria should be posted on the feedback server instead.
4ebugger that is a different issue (MC-268563) so I'll be keeping this ticket resolved as Fixed. We know that breezes now deflect snowballs, experience bottles, eggs, and ender pearls in 24w07a because the "Breeze deflects" sound is now produced, which wasn't the case in 24w06a. The problem that you're experiencing is that snowballs, experience bottles, eggs, and ender pearls are destroyed when deflected by breezes which is being tracked at MC-268563.
Hi 4ebugger. Please do not change the Category of bug reports. This is a field that only Mojang and Moderators are allowed to change.
4ebugger Can you attach a video of this issue still happening? I have trouble reproducing this myself.
4ebugger Yeah both versions are the same now.
4ebugger Yeah true, but bedrock and java are completely different Minecraft versions. And since you use left clicks on java rather than right clicks on bedrock may lead this to be working as intended/feature request. I still can confirm though.
4ebugger I was unable to get the villager to replicate the behavior described in the report, can you please attach a video showing the villager's behavior?
4ebugger I can indeed confirm too.
despite being intelligent enough to brew potions
As 4ebugger stated, this is a feature request. Go to https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us
Edit: MC-159088, which is a similar issue to this, was marked as Invalid.
4ebugger It's probably an issue in the next snapshot, as Future Update is in the affected versions list.
Edit: For those in the future wondering, Future Update was 1.21 Pre-Release 1, which (temporarily, according to Mojang) removed the ability to light some blocks using Fire Aspect, which includes candles.
4ebugger can you please verify or disprove the the previous comment by Invisible826?

Confirm in 1.20.2 pre1, aslo affect trial spawners.
Why is intended? Before 1.14, zombies can't see players though walls, but can see villagers though walls, this is a feature not a bug, and the feature is still work in Bedrock Edition.
The wiki say: "Zombies target villagers within a 35– to 52.5–block radius (depending on regional difficulty){_}[Java Edition or a 16-block radius{_}[Bedrock Edition and they can always see villagers through walls."
This is also a party issue, in Bedrock Edition it works correctly.
This feature is making the game more balance and challenge, I don't hope this feature was removed.
[Mod] Les3awe
The feature is not Bedrock exclusive, it exists in old Java version, and this change in Java 1.14 was not confirmed as intentional, so it is a valid parity issue, see MC-148379 and
MC-182478.[Mod] Avoma Still not fixed.

The wither skeletons can give effect with melee weapons, so why not on strays and boggeds.
Also affects when you giving it a sword, not only underwater.
Needs to be reopen, because it's a parity issue.
Parity Issue only support 1.15 or higher version, the raider loot is from 1.14.
I'm deleted my abandoned account for a long ago, please replace me to the reporter.
Can confirm.
Well, but mace can be enchanted in bedrock edition.
Still not fixed.
Still an issue in 24w12a.
This is mostly like WAI or invalid, because all explorer map texture are different from the Java version.
Confirm in 24w12a, you can easily kill an enemy with mace while hold trident in the offhand.
This is a parity issue, in Bedrock Edition it will prevent you to catching fire.
Can confirm.
Still an issue in the latest version, video attached. Minecraft 24w13a - Singleplayer 2024-03-28 21-54-26.mp4
Still an issue in the latest version. Video attached.
Well, I am created another issue about this.
When the phantom size is 0, it deals only 2 damage in normal mode, when the size is 1, it deals 6 damage in normal mode, same as 1.13 and Bedrock Edition.
Duplicate of
MC-6797.Fixed in 1.21.0.20. So this issue can be closed.
Duplicate of MC-160720.
This is maybe WAI, See the changelog.
You need use a potato peeler on the potato sheep, and it drops potato peels rather than wool.
Villagers never drop their inventories when they die, this is a design.
This issue also affects when the evoker riding a ravager.
Thanks!
This is a parity issue, In Bedrock Edition they produce correct particles. Because chests and ender chests are using tile entities to rendering, so they do not produce the correct particles in Java Edition.
This issue is about textures, not hitboxes.
Reopening, this issue is not fixed.
Reopening, this issue is not fixed.
Latest Bedrock Edition preview is already changed this to match Java Edition, so this ticket can be closed.
This bug is present in Bedrock Edition too.

MC-270590.If this get fixed, will turn all blocks into tile entities, will cause lag and making them can no longer be moved by pistons.
I'm duplicated my issue
MC-270658, sorry.I am really cannot reproduce this. When I reporting this issue, I am suddenly found a chest room, but the chest corridor are very rare to generating.

This is a feature request, mojang promises that voice chat will not added in game.
Relates to
MC-194899.I'll think about how to fix it, perhaps make villagers will not jump on their job site block to parity with Bedrock Edition? this is a way to solve.
It's a bug, all elder guardians should spawned with full health.
Can I request the ownership? the reporter have not updates for a long time.
However you can place sniffer egg underwater for now, despite this issue have been resolved as WAI.
Mateus Pereira Milbradt. Mojang on feedback site says: "Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems", so we may never get movable tile entities in Java Edition.
Many people haven’t noticed this parity issue and nobody mentioned that.
There is only nether star item can't be destroyed by explosion in vanilla minecraft.
If this got fixed, the infested blocks will become tile entities, will making them can no longer able to be moved by pistons.
Can confirm in 1.20.5.
I would like to request ownership of this ticket as the current reporter has been inactive.
I would like to request ownership of this ticket as the current reporter has been inactive.
This one might be needed, because items in item frame or tile entity's data changing do not update the nearby block. Comparators need a tile entities to make the redstone signal updating constantly, when the nearby tile entity's data changed or item frame updated.
Still in 1.20.5.
This is a parity issue, in Bedrock Edition they will not break when extended.
The Item frame detection is might not needed, but the storage detection is must needed that. The items in the storage needs to be checked constantly, if the tile entities was been removed, the comparators will no longer check the items in the storage that being transferred by hoppers.
I have tested in latest BE preview and cannot reproduce this.
Still in 1.20.5.
I'm attached a video. So this should be needed. the comparator needs to reading the containers constantly.
Both moving piston and moving blocks are needs to use the tile entity special renderer to rendering the smoothly block movement animation, so this is not a bug. If this got "fixed", the piston movement action will become lagging.
Observer only detect block state changes, not the tile entity data changes. Note blocks are tile entities in Bedrock Edition.
I would like to request ownership of this ticket as the current reporter's account has been deleted.
Can confirm in 1.20.6.
Campfire can now be lit by fire aspect, and it was been added in Village & Pillage update. so why the TNT can't be ignited.
This is a parity issue, in Bedrock the player must use right clicks to lit them.
I can confirm the issue was fixed in 24w18a.
Sharpness do not works either, not only these enchants.
Can you provide seed and coordinate?
Can confirm.
This bug is not related to generation, it is about the villager's behavior.
Mace changes (such as smash attack nerfed, mutually exclusive enchantments, can be enchanted with sharpness (perhaps unintentionally changes?), base damage nerfed, mace durability increased, and attack speed changed), and parity changes about fire aspect (can ignite candles) are missing from the change log.
Mace now have 0.5 attack speed in 24w18a, and the damage has been nerfed to 6, also the smash attack of mace has been nerfed, and the fire aspect can now lit candles in 24w18a, but there information is not mentioned on the official 24w18a changelog. Can you understand it?
Wilf233 That is not related to this report. The Mojang employees have not closed my issue, I will continue to considered this report as valid.
Still in 1.20.6.
Already mentioned in 24w19a, so this issue can be closed.
This is already fixed, so this issue can be closed.
This is already fixed in 24w19b.
Still in 24w19b
SeaOfPixels TNT minecarts can be ignited with flint and steel and fire charges in Bedrock, so I think it's a bug for Bedrock.
Does this issue still present in 24w19b?
[Helper] Lord_Quadrato This was be resolved as WAI.
Can confirm.
Confirm, what a serious bug.
Not only players, I am gave the oozing effect to a zombie, when I killed the zombie, the game also crashed.
Can confirm.
Probably dupe of MC-147628.
Confirmed, Relates to MC-219981.
[Mod] Jiingy Maybe.
Item holding positions have changed significantly in version 1.8, such as eating animation, fishing rod held position, regular item held position, all these changes are unintentional and not described in changelog, so I will continue considered this issue as valid report until the mojang employee take the final decision.
Trial spawners and vaults were added after the Buzzy Bees update, so this should be valid issue, spawners were added prior the Buzzy Bees update.
Can confirm.
IwrsTheKing007, The video is not related with this issue, zombies spawned with leader zombie bonus are still have 20.0 maxhealth attribute, but they have an unique modifier for this attribute called leader zombie bonus.
This is most likely a feature request rather than bug.
Does
MC-272316described your issue?.This bug has been fixed as the fix for
MC-270687was rolled back.Can confirm.
I cannot reproduce this, perhaps the bug is only happened on some trial chambers. 2024-05-24_11.58.27.png
Still in 24w21b, this bug is already fixed in Bedrock Edition.
IwrsTheKing007 Can you remove your attached video? I'm already pointed this on my attached image.
This is most likely a feature request rather than bug.
Can confirm in 24w21b, this is also a parity issue, the bug is not present in Bedrock Edition, in this edition you required to killing all small slimes to get the reward.
Wandering traders cannot open doors either, so why the witches should open doors?
Why the issue has been reopened?
This is WAI because the 1.21 Pre-1 changes. (
WEB-7154).
Still not fixed, reopening.
Can confirm.
Duplicate of MC-69683.
Can you update the description?
I cannot reproduce this issue.
Confirm in 1.21 Pre-release 2.
Can confirm.
Axolotls does not grow up in bucket, and coppers does not oxidate in inventory either, so why tadpoles should grow in bucket?
This is an universal behavior for lead, not specific for boats, lead can be tied to walls regardless of the entity being leashed.
Can confirm, this is a parity issue.
I can no longer reproduce this in 1.21 Pre Release 4, so this issue can be closed?
In Bedrock Edition, when the water next to glass, it have water textures on the side when viewed from outside, but not inside. In Java it just a solid-color texture.
This is what water looks like from the side when water against glass in Bedrock Edition.
This issue described the issue that the water model have gaps on the edge.
MC-105732 described that the fluid model have gaps on edges, probably a duplicate.
This feature was introduced in Java 1.9, which not a valid parity issue.
So why must the pick up delay apply to all events?
Hoppers can also pick up items, but hoppers does not obey the pick up delay (see
MC-125496, WAI), so why do mobs must obey the pick up delay? The original intention of the pickup delay was to prevent players from picking up items immediately after throwing them, but mobs and hoppers don't need it since they don't throwing items.
I can no longer reproduce this in 21w37a as
MC-202376was fixed, please close this issue.Wind charges can knockback entities, the dropped bricks are blown away by your thrown wind charge. There is no bugs here.
I can confirm that the "bedroom" only generate at "entrance_1" when I constant founding the chambers.
Fixing this issue requires changing the block model, so how can fix this issue and also have the back faces rendered?
Nitwits can be used for collection, because jungle and swamp nitwits are very rare in the game, you can only get them by curing zombie villagers, zombie villagers have only a 5% chance of spawning, and the chance of spawning nitwit zombie villagers is even more lower.
Suggesting this issue should be marked for review. The bedrock and legacy console edition had this since 2012. In addition, the steve has an eating animation in super smash bros, make this feature missing only in java edition.
This is a change request, not a parity issue.
Implement this will be a bit difficult, because this requires to make a new system, the custom name is stored in block entity data of the block entity.
This also happens when spawners border the incomplete blocks such as slab, so I don't think cull the back face of spawners when border these blocks is a solution.
Maybe it could be fixed by making the thickness of the sides 0.01 and having both the outer and inner sides be rendered.
You can installing a mod called carpet to simulate the multiple players, just look at the vault and summon a bot then make the bot execute the use action.
/player (name) summon
/player (name) use
Although I can only reproduce this issue with the mod, I can confirm that this also happens in the vanilla.
(Edit: the bots of the mod have same feature like regular players)
Why the issue links is clone to another issue instead of duplicate?
Trial mask can only be obtains on discord live events, this event has now expired.
Seems duplicate of
MC-108.Still in 1.21, can I request the ownership of this ticket?
This glitched piston head is a ghost block that disappears when you interact with it or reload.
I prefer to make the mangrove swamp water opaque.
Please do not trash your own reports.
There is no bugs here, zombies with leader bonus have modifier to add extra value, you require to change the attribute modifier to disable that.
modded versions are not supported.
This is because witches will use the same attacking behavior as other hostile mobs, but uses regeneration potion instead of harming potion, making them can heal other raiders in the raid, Johnny doesn't attack other illagers but will still attack ravagers and witches, causing this issue, but this is likely to be resolved as WF.
I would suggest making the cauldrons waterloggable, but also making the top texture of water not render and modify the water hitbox to solve this problem.
Cauldrons are not waterloggable in both Java and Bedrock, because cauldrons can holds water itself, so it is a bit difficult to implement.
Probably similar, but I expected it to give the effect directly to the entity, rather than change the position where the area effect cloud is generated.
It also effect the item held in hand in third person, can you update the description?
Yes, it was fixed, so this issue can be closed as duplicate, however you can still make a string duper by using debug stick.
Nah this animation was introduced in Bedrock beta 1.16.220.52 so it's valid.
Cauldrons are not waterloggable in both java and bedrock.
The ominous vault will generate under the breeze spawner.
I think this ticket should be marked as duplicate instead of invalid.
Fixed it will causes a new rendering issue, a better approach is to separate the water inside the cauldron from the cauldron itself.
This is not a bug in my opinion, otherwise pillagers will attack the iron golems in the cage.
They don't want to spend too much time focusing on this minor issue, its priority has been classified as low and it does not affect the actual gameplay very much so do not expect mojang will fix this issue soon.
