There are a lot more "unnecessary" features in the game, and having to leave a horse, push it through the portal, and then go through after it and hope it didn't suffocate in the portal frame gets annoying.

Today, we gather to commemorate the remarkable 9th anniversary of the release of Minecraft PlayStation Vita Edition, a truly special occasion that deserves our celebration and admiration! 🎉🤩
Minecraft PlayStation Vita Edition holds a distinct place in the hearts of players worldwide. What makes this edition stand out is its unique ability to run on a portable console, allowing you to dive into the immersive world of Minecraft from virtually anywhere. In this version, you'll find a treasure trove of features and improvements that set it apart from its counterparts.
One of the standout features of this edition is the inclusion of a tutorial world from TU69 and all the aquatic update features found in the Legacy Console edition. This means you can explore a carefully crafted tutorial world to hone your skills and dive into the underwater wonders of the aquatic update, all from the comfort of your handheld device.
A peculiar detail that sets this edition apart is the presence of an emerald icon when trading with villagers. It's a feature that adds a unique touch to the game and offers a different trading experience compared to the Bedrock edition. Additionally, you'll notice the satisfying sound when items are dropped and an overall improvement in the behavior of drowneds, enhancing your gameplay experience.
Diving deeper into the mechanics, you'll find that redstone dust hitboxes have been updated, providing a smoother experience when working with redstone contraptions. Vexes, those vexing creatures, are now distinguishable from allay clones, a distinction not found in the Bedrock edition, adding a new layer of strategy to your encounters.
Perhaps one of the most appreciated changes is the behavior of phantoms. In this edition, phantoms are less bothersome, with only half the health compared to the Java and Bedrock editions. This means you can enjoy peaceful nights without being constantly hassled by these aerial creatures.
But that's not all. Empty buckets take on a greater purpose here, allowing you to collect fish and enhance your underwater adventures. Drowneds, the aquatic zombies, are finely tuned, offering a gameplay experience similar to their Java Edition counterparts.
When you venture into the nether, you'll find it more enjoyable thanks to the addition of the secret biome known as the "Nether valley." This unique discovery allows you to find netherwarts outside fortresses, making potion brewing more accessible and exciting. Additionally, the ability to reset the nether, just like the end, offers a refreshing take on nether exploration.
Wither skeletons, those elusive creatures, are now able to spawn outside fortresses, making the task of collecting wither skeleton skulls a more engaging and less daunting challenge. For creative mode enthusiasts, shrubs have been added to the creative inventory with a unique texture, and blazes have a chance to drop valuable items, adding a new dimension to your creative endeavors.
This edition doesn't just focus on gameplay enhancements. It also offers three unique minigames to add variety and excitement to your gaming experience. Spiders, on hard difficulty, spawn with buff effects, reminiscent of the Java Edition, setting a higher level of challenge for skilled players.
As you delve further into the gameplay, you'll notice the ability to exit without saving, a feature that can be a lifesaver when experimenting or facing challenging situations. The XP level-up sound is designed to be more enjoyable than what you find in the Java and Bedrock editions, immersing you deeper into the game.
The user-friendly GUI for furnaces is an added convenience, making crafting and smelting a breeze for players, especially those new to the game. And if you're a fan of the popular cat music disc by C418, you'll be pleased to know that it plays for a longer duration in this edition, providing a more relaxing atmosphere in your virtual world.
Renamed items are also more obvious in this edition, as the name turns yellow, making it easier to spot and manage your precious inventory. For added convenience, a custom superflat GUI is included, providing a straightforward way to customize your world settings.
For a comprehensive overview of all the exciting features this edition offers, check out the official trailer here: https://youtu.be/QFZoDbgncJA. 🤔🎉
In summary, Minecraft PlayStation Vita Edition has not only withstood the test of time but has also continuously improved and evolved, offering players a unique and enjoyable experience that can be enjoyed on the go. Its distinctive features and improvements make it a standout choice for fans of the game, and we celebrate its 9th birthday with gratitude and excitement! 🎉🥳🕹️

This is a duplicate of MC-67.
Relates to MC-67. The fact that the two entities are joined and yet two separate entities causes this bug.
Related to MC-67, though that only specifies joined entities, such as a minecart with something in it.

This is not a program bug so much as a game-mechanics bug. Steps to reproduce:
- Build a minecart track up to an active portal.
- Be in survival mode, with an empty inventory, with cheats off.
- Ride the minecart into the portal. (You will not be teleported, and this is not a bug, per
MC-67.)
It is now impossible to do anything to leave this situation on your own.
- You cannot move, since you are in a minecart and the minecart is not on rails.
- Your cursor cannot target anything but the unbreakable portal blocks, so you cannot exit or break the cart.
- Since you do not happen to have a water bucket, you cannot disable the portal with water.
- Since you do not happen to have a bow, you cannot break the cart with an arrow.
Previously, you could exit the game and return, and find yourself no longer in the cart, but since 1.5 that no longer works.
(The fix I would propose is to make portal blocks be like water/lava, where aiming at them just targets the block/entity behind them, not the fluid block itself; I think this would also be an improvement for combat in the vicinity of a portal. But that's up to Mojang to decide.)

Hello! By naturally spawned mobs, do you mean the striders riding on each other? If so, this is probably MC-67 you're experiencing.
Doesn’t happen on java though. See MC-114967. On java edition parrots on shoulders aren’t real entities. Seems like on bedrock they are, which also causes MCPE-27950 (I believe they are technically riding the player, which prevents you from using portals (MC-67)) and MCPE-124496.

How are you attempting to transport guardians through the nether portal? If they're in a minecart or boat, they won't be able to travel through dimensions as a result of MC-67. If this isn't the case, please provide some screenshots and/or videos demonstrating this behavior whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled.
The Bug:
The dashing state of camels isn't saved to NBT.
As a result of this issue, the dashing state of a camel resets when its NBT data is reloaded. For example, upon the camel changing dimensions or the world being reloaded, its dashing state isn't saved. This allows players to make the camel they're riding dash in quick succession without needing to wait for it to recover (to undergo its dashing cooldown).
Steps to Reproduce:
- Construct a nether portal in the overworld and ensure that the nether dimension chunks are initially loaded.
- Summon a saddled camel and begin riding it.
- Go inside the nether portal blocks while riding the camel (you won't be teleported while riding the camel as a result of
MC-67). - Make the camel dash by pressing the space bar but as soon as you do this, dismount the camel so you're both teleported to the nether.
- Observe if the camel ever recovers from dashing.
- Take note as to whether or not the dashing state of camels is saved to NBT.
Observed Behavior:
The dashing state of camels isn't saved to NBT.
Expected Behavior:
The dashing state of camels would be saved to NBT.
Confirmed, Relates to MC-67
Steps to reproduce
- Create a specific portals (Nether Portals, End Portals and End Gateways)
- Spawn a boats or a entity with have jockey ridden
- Move the player from using boat or push the ridden entity into the portal
Observed results: The entities with passengers cannot travel through the portals
Expected behavior: The entities with passengers would be able to travel through the portals
MC-67 was fixed by adding a "entitiesWithPassengersCanUsePortals" gamerule, as such I suggest change the report to reflect that.
"entitiesWithPassengersCanUsePortals" gamerule was removed in Java Edition 1.21 Pre-Release 1.
Removed the entitiesWithPassengersCanUsePortals gamerule that was introduced last snapshot. Entity with passengers being able to use portals is now the default behavior.
As Skaijie mentioned, this relates to MC-67 which has recently been fixed in Java, so it can also be considered vanilla-parity.
This is also related to MCPE-47288, which highlights the missing portal mechanic that was recently fixed for Java at MC-67.
Exiting the end via the fountain does not play the portal travel sound unless you are riding something.
This is primarily a regression of MC-101170, which was fixed for all cases except when the credits get played. (At the time you could not ride a boat through the fountain due to MC-67.) This issue first appeared in 1.21-pre1, only a week after the fix of MC-101170 in 24w20a.
Also relates to MC-67
Update: Can confirm.

I can confirm this. Driving boats or riding pigs through a portal won't work either.
its true
Dinnerbone has confirmed that this is by design, and thus not a bug.
Oh, that's a shame
. Does anybody have a link to Dinnerbone's confirmation?
There is no link, just take it what Mustek wrote.
so it will not be fixed? because the status is 'resolved'
Read the comments:
thus
Yeah I read that, but the status says 'resolved'.
"Resolved", with a resolution of "Works As Intended".
Ah, ok. Thnks
So has the status on this changed, since Dinnerbone has marked
MC-1969as fixed in 12w50a? This certainly seems contradictory with the claim that the behavior listed here is "by design, and thus not a bug", though I suppose he could have decided to change it anyway.Status on this ticket is not changed.
Tested with 12w50a: Only unoccupied Minecarts travel through the portal.
Is there any mod that lets this work?
Confirmed with riding a horse.
Just updating this so that people who might report this issue have a possibility of seeing this one.
(the version affected should be updated as well)
this isn't a bug anymore since jeb told this is intended.
Why on earth is this intended? Why shouldn't you be able to ride a horse through a portal?
this is intended because it's to hard to fix and unnecessary
Hi!
I can confirm for release 1.16.3.
A bug that was once fixed makes a return? Odds of that happening?

Affects 1.17
Happened quite a few times, actually. See https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-67?jql=project%20%3D%20%22Minecraft%3A%20Java%20Edition%22%20AND%20fixVersion%20is%20not%20EMPTY%20AND%20resolution%20!%3D%20Fixed%20ORDER%20BY%20fixVersion%20ASC
Can confirm in 1.17.1.
This may be intentional. See https://youtu.be/EtKcphC4fIc?t=36
The ticket has recently been reopened and recieved Mojang priority, which means the developers classify this as a valid bug.
At this point, might actually treat this as a feature.
Can confirm this behavior in 21w39a. Here are some extra details regarding this problem.
The Bug:
Entities with passengers cannot travel through portals.
Steps to Reproduce:
/summon minecraft:spider ~ ~ ~ {Passengers:[{id:"minecraft:skeleton",HandItems:[{id:"minecraft:bow",Count:1b}]}]}Observed Behavior:
Entities with passengers cannot travel through portals.
Expected Behavior:
Entities with passengers would be able to travel through portals.
For many years I have to dismount and push horses through the portal, never knew that it's a bug

So did anyone find a mod for this? Immersive portals doesn't seem to support it: https://github.com/iPortalTeam/ImmersivePortalsMod/issues/681
I've yet to test https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/netherminecarts.110193/ but it's a plugin.
This doesn't appear to be fixed for me?
[~Awesoman3000] Set the gamerule entitiesWithPassengersCanUsePortals to true
The gamerule was removed in 1.21 pre-release 1, but it is now fixed even without the gamerules.
